Movie Star

After trying so hard to find new models all summer, I've pretty much run out of options. So, I simply had to get back to my roots and stick to what works - ME. As you might know, I'm a big fan of taking pictures of myself. And, since I couldn't even find someone to be an extra, I just used myself over and over again. (That's right - it's me talking to me!) I had fun with them, let me know what you think! (Please). 

100th Post!!!

Besides being the day I post my 100th Post(!!!!), today is also the day I found little baby gargoyles in my basement. What do you guys want from me for your special 100th anniversary? You guys can have anything, honestly. And what do you want more of in the future? I love suggestions, so the next 100 posts will be even better.

Die Giraffen

Went to Animal Land this weekend. The #1 attraction in the Adirondacks (according to their brochure). It was a little sad, but mostly awesome. You get to feed and pet ALL of the animals. I held hands with a lemur!!!! That had to be the coolest thing I've done in awhile.

Mark Hogancamp setting up a photoshoot.

My friend Mark Hogancamp lives down the street from me and he also happens to be a celebrity. Two summers ago I visited him with my friend and we were treated to two hours of fun! Normally I wouldn't endorse knocking on a stranger's door and asking for a tour of their house, even if they are a celebrity, but this time it worked out perfectly. Mark is a photographer. He photographs his family. His family happens to be made up of action figures and dolls. He has built an amazing town in his very own backyard called Marwencol. Marwencol and Mark have their own documentary, Marwencol, which I HIGHLY recommend. I've watched it several times and it never gets old.
When we visited, Mark was wearing boxer shorts and pink toenail polish. We got to see photographs that the public hadn't seen before and we got a tour of his house and Marwencol and his collection of lady's shoes. He has over 200 pairs of women's shoes. He's a size eight and a half.
Usually I wouldn't be that interested in war photography, but his photographs are BEAUTIFUL, you guys.
Get to know his story. He is one of the most inspiring and nicest and most open people that I've ever met.
I would rate Mark and Marwencol 10 stars Must-See.

Today I was thinking: How much fun would it be to get packages full of fun stuff in the mail from people I don't know?! (Or do know, I'm not picky). What if they were bloggers just like me or even better - just an adoring fan?! AND then I could send them packages full of stuff too! Stuff that I think a person would love to have or would just be so exciting to receive in the mail. Like how exciting would it be to get a whole new outfit in the mail? Or a CD? Or a zine? What do you guys think? Does anyone want to be my PenPal?

Little Edie Beale: Style Icon

For my Communication Design class we got to make e-magazines for iPad. I made one about my style icon Little Edie Bouvier Beale. I wish there was a way to share it with you guys in its original form, but I'll do my best to modify it to share with you guys! There is a slideshow and an audio file which I can't figure out how to share with you guys. What do I do???
